Diabetes programs

Vida Wellness and Rehabilitation Centres no have a new type 2 diabetes group program. This program is fully bulk billed under Medicare.

Who is eligible? Any person with type 2 diabetes and a valid referral, is eligible.


The Vida type 2 diabetes group program will be led by experienced Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEP’s) with input from Accredited Practicing Dietitians (APD’s).

Each session will also include a group exercise session supervised by the Exercise Physiologist.

What can I expect from the program? After the initial assessment, a report is provided by the Exercise Physiologist to the doctor outlining the findings from the assessment, including body composition measures and functional capacity. After the program is completed, all allied health professionals will contribute to a report on each participant’s progress through the program. The diabetes program is designed for individuals for suffer from type I and type II diabetes that are looking to reduce their level of medication. Substantial research has indicated that exercise has the ability to improve glycemic control and limit other complications associated with the condition. This program is facilitated by accredited Exercise Physiologists and an accredited Dietitian to ensure a well-rounded program for our clients. The safe and friendly environment is ideal for people looking to achieve their goals.
